While some brides, grooms and their families are much more conventional than others, and like to hear thoughtful and courteous speeches, some other individuals like listening to funny wedding speeches. If your household and guests are these sorts of individuals, an entertaining wedding speech is perfectly suitable provided you don’t pass judgement, embarrass, or employ crude words. Remember, not important how you’re linked to or know the bride or groom, or even if you are the bride or groom and desire to make humorous statements, as long as your are discreet about it.

Before you ready your words, attempt to think about the wedding venue you will be in as well as those RSVP’s that came back and the ages of your guests. If they are by and large seasoned with just a tiny number of young people, don’t seek to say humorous jokes or anecdotes an older group may not understand. Try to keep from hurting anyone in your speech as this individual will not forget or may never forgive you for embarrassing them at your wedding. It’s also a good thought not to combine insider jokes with interesting or funny stories. If you’re the best man and you are aware that the bridegroom was sick at the frat party every last weekend, the wedding group and invitees don’t need to know this, so stear clear from affairs that you and only one other person know about.

We’ve all been to receptions that have been customary – we acquire as good as applaud a brand new tied together couple, watch them dance, as good as suffer baked sweat bread with them.

Including the guests is an excellent way to get people out of their chairs, meeting people they might not otherwise know and feeling like they are truly a part of the celebration, not just observers.

One fun and active game that can be played by all your guests, including grandma as well as the young children, is “want it now”.

In this game, you designate a master of ceremonies (if you have a DJ for your wedding reception, this mortal can serve as the DJ). The MC will have a list of “wants” prepared before the reception. Everyone sits at their tables, and waits to hear the command. The MC says he wants a mortal with painted toenails. All the women with painted toenails run to the front of the room, toward the MC. Each time a plateau sends someone to the front first, they get a point.

Points should be tallied during the course of this game and prizes awarded at the end of the game. Be sure to have some obvious “wants”, as is the painted toenails, or a man with a mustache or a child with a pink dress. But also include some surprises, like “a man with a brown purse” which will require a man to find a woman at his plateau with the brown contract and run up to the front of the room with that.

If you are thinking about getting married outside, you are having a great idea as there are few things that are as romantic and pleasant, whether the chosen venue is the courtyard near your local place of worship or a secluded spot in a natural park.

Still, there are several things that you need to consider as outdoor marriage is far from fail-safe. Lots can go wrong during an outdoor wedding, so you are advised to read this list carefully to avoid any trouble.

1) Your guest’s comfort should be one of your foremost thoughts. Consider the weather, for instance. If your wedding is going to be in the winter, make sure that extra blankets are available if anyone is cold. In the summer, make sure that there is plenty of shade, and in all seasons, put up a windbreaker if the area is windy. And make sure that everyone is adequately seated, and especially so elderly people.

2) Have plenty of drinks available close to where everyone will be congregating to avoid discomfort and dehydration. Cold water is paramount, and hot drinks will be much appreciated in chilly weather. And of course, fruity drinks for the young ones and some bottles of champagne or sparkling wine for the adults are always welcome.
