Choosing The Perfect Florist

by Lucy Starling

When you need to have flowers delivered to someone special it is important that you find the right florist. There are a few things that you should consider when you are trying to find the right florist for your flower buying needs. Take your time and choose carefully so that you will be sure to get the best arrangements for your special recipient delivered when you need them to be there.

The floral arrangements are the first most important thing that you should look at when you are trying to find a florist. Online florists might have a smaller selection than the ones that are offered in the florist’s shop.

You will have to visit the florist or make a phone call to have something special arranged. You should ask if they could accommodate any special requirements that you might have with your order. If you don’t find any arrangements that meet your needs with their online selection then you will have to make other arrangements with the florist. The beauty of the floral arrangement is the first thing that you should look for.

If you have the time, you should put some effort into comparison shopping. Take a look at the other florists and compare similar arrangements. This will allow you to see if one is higher priced than the other. If you are dealing with an emergency situation like an illness or death, you might have to pay a little more to have the delivery made on time. While you may be more concerned with making sure that the flowers arrive, you an still call around and make sure that you are not paying an excessively high price for an emergency delivery.

Wedding Snaffoos and How to Avoid Them

by Lucy Peters

Planning a wedding is hard enough without our human propensity to forget things. Then when we forget something significant or don’t plan well enough, something is bound to go wrong. Items that are valuable or significant may be forgotten or something could happen to make you late leaving the reception hall, which ultimately ends up costing more.

When planning your wedding, take precautions. This will help you make sure that you are not skipping over any steps. This can also reduce the amount of stress and anxiety you will face on your wedding day. These are five simple things you can do to lessen the chances of wedding planning mistakes.

1. Set a maximum for the amount of guests you invite. A big part of your wedding planning will revolve around the number of people you invite. If your invite list keeps getting bigger and bigger, you will have to dish out more and more money. This could also lead to not having enough room.

Generally, 80-85% of the people invited to a wedding show up; however, it is important to realize that some invitees will bring along a close friend with them. Plan your wedding as if everyone you invited will be there.

2. Know the basic rules and regulations of getting married. The laws dealing with marriage licenses vary in each state and sometimes in each county. It is important to have an understanding of the rules and laws that pertain to you. Take time to check up on all of these legalities way before your wedding.
